TLC Bible reading today is Proverbs 4. These first few chapters keep making a case for us becoming wisdom seekers. Foolishness is natural but you have to be very intentional to grow in wisdom. Notice words like: hear, give attention, know, do not forsake, retain, keep, don’t forget, love, exalt, receive, take firm hold of, do not let go, incline your ear ... to wisdom and understanding.
Don’t listen to fools. Don’t follow them. Don’t be one of them. Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it spring all the issues of life! Fill your heart with wisdom. Fill your life with understanding. Listen to the wise leaders in your life. When you find wisdom stay on the path, do not turn to the left or the right. Do not stray.
