Fearful to Faithful

Fear, such a small word for a big thing. Fear can be healthy and life saving but it can also be crippling and life-stealing. Being fearful during dangerous situations is a great and could save your life and that of others. There are other times when fear stops us from moving forward into the next phase God has planned for us. God wants the best things for us, yet sometimes we forget this and let fear hold us in our current place. We are afraid of what He might ask us to do; we are afraid of what we cannot see. Fear has replaced faith.
God asks us to step out in faith and use what He has given us. Then fear comes in whispering doubt. We should never fear what God has given us. Being fearful of what God might ask us to do closes us off from the promises He has waiting for us. By taking the first step we can give all our trust to God and He will show us what is next. We can’t see it but He can. By trusting we can move from fearful to faithful.

Trust in the lord with all of your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.
