2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.”

Pride is a killer. When you think you know but you really don’t and when you think you are but you really aren’t you become deceived, arrogant, unteachable, critical, hard hearted and smaller. Look at what David said in Psalm 35:13 “But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth, I humbled myself with fasting.” And Jesus says, “Whoever exalts himself will be brought low but he who humbles himself will be exalted.” 

Humbling our self is a beginning step, when we add prayer and seeking God’s face to that as well as turning away from our wicked ways then God hears, forgives and heals us. 

Ask the Holy Spirit about the areas you need humility in. Ask Him what the things you need to be turning away from are. Many times in a fasting season the Holy Spirit will purify us and help us make permanent adjustments in our life. Ask God to forgive and heal you. When we humble ourselves like this God lifts us up to new heights and we begin to live life at a whole new level. Humble yourself and He will exalt you!
