We should want more favor! We don’t really need more money, a different spouse, better parents … We need more favor for finances. We need more favor with our current spouse. We need more favor with our parents and those with authority in our life.

The people in the Bible who had great favor from God actually had the favor long before they knew it. You have favor from God right now. You are loved by God right now. You don’t do anything to earn God’s favor and love, but in receiving it  you then have to steward it and manage it so you can grow in it. In the book of Exodus, when the children of Israel left Egypt, they had great favor. They were slaves but they left with favor and were enriched. Joseph went from prisoner to 2nd in command in minutes because of favor.

God can get you from where you are to where you need to be. Don’t be discouraged if you aren’t where you want to be. Don’t think you can never rise up and regain what was lost or even make up for lost time and opportunities. God’s favor is upon  you now! Manage it well and steward your opportunities.

Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom, and stature and in favor with God and men. 

Jesus had to steward grace and favor. He grew and so can we. If Jesus had to grow what makes us think we don’t have to grow in those areas too? We have Jesus and the Holy Spirit in us. We can do this!

Father, help us know we are already favored and help us manage that in such a way that it grows to it’s fullest potential. Amen!
