A new year. Resolution. Change. Hope. Future. These are all things that we think about when the calendar resets. We evaluate where we started the previous year, what unexpected turn of events we encountered, how we handled them, and the results of the previous 12 months. The majority of people turn to diet and exercise as the traditional resolution for the coming year. Others vow to quit smoking, improve their financial situation, or devote more quality time to their family and friends. And while some succeed with their resolutions and some try again the next year, all are great goals to strive for. After all, the concept of setting a resolution is to reflect upon self-improvement annually. But what does God see in store for your future in 2015? And how will that impact your life this year?
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God has it all planned out. He has so much in store for you in 2015! He has even more planned for you in 2016 and beyond! The great thing is that God’s New Year’s Resolution for us doesn’t just last for 365 days; it lasts a lifetime! God’s New Year’s Resolution is that we will thrive and succeed, that we will have anticipation for an amazing future because he promised it! So remember this year that God’s plan for you is to prosper, to give you hope and an incredible future!
