Many times in life we tend to get bogged down. We can start wandering and wondering. God has given us a solution for this. It is not a real popular solution but it is a very effective one.
At TLC we begin the year with 21 days of fasting and prayer. It is a great way to shake off the cobwebs of yesteryear and get a fresh look at our life, God’s will and the needs of others.
Isaiah 58:6-11 describes the heart of God and what He wants to be the results of our prayer and fasting times. These are quite impressive: loose the bonds of wickedness, undo heavy burdens, let the oppressed go free, break every yoke, share your bread with the hungry, bring to your house the poor who are cast out, clothe the naked and stop ignoring the needs of your family and friends.
The personal benefits are many as well: healing will spring forth speedily, God will protect you and answer you, light will shine in your darkness, the Lord will guide you, He will satisfy your soul even in times of drought and you will be like a well watered garden.
When we lean into God and seek to follow and obey Him, life just gets better and better. Yes we will have some difficult times but they will not last and they will not identify us. Do you want to get out of those difficult times faster? Do you want to get better results faster? Do you want to discern God’s will faster and help others faster? Then join us for 21 days of increasing speed.
The sermon series this month is entitled “Limitless.” The work of Jesus on the cross gives us victory and lifts us up above all barriers or obstacles that have been placed in our way. How much farther and faster can we go? With Jesus we are limitless.
